Mákos guba (Poppyseed pastry)

“Somlói galuska” (Somlói dumpling)

Traditional Hungarian cake. Layers of vanilla and chocolate sponges are filled with cooked cream whisked together with whipped cream. While sandwiching the cake with the hot cream, we sprinkle roughly chopped walnuts between the layers and also dust them with cocoa. After cooling down, the cake is portioned out in scoops then covered with a thick chocolate sauce and decorated with whipped cream.

Tapioca pudding

The tapioca, extracted from the storage roots of the cassava plant, is made the same way as our rice pudding. It is boiled with milk, sugar, vanilla pod until it reaches a thick consistency. After cooling down the pudding is portioned into small glasses and decorated with our home-made forest fruit preserve.
